Photos from marketing are here!! Renderings probably won't be posted for a while (scanner issues), but here are all of the show pics from the shows I have designed for the Barter Players. I will be using this website to post renderings of shows that I design, portfolio pictures of costumes I have made and or draped, as well as some of my artwork. I have my BFA in acting and costume design from Central Connecticut State University. Hope you enjoy the pics, a lot of blood (literally), sweat and tears have been put into these costumes and artwork. I love what I do and feedback is always appreciated. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me at alitia77@gmail.com

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe : This is the last show I built at Barter. Aslan, The White Stag, the Centaur and the White Witch, were all built. The rest were half built, pulled, and altered. The Masks are not my work, they are from a previous production.

Robin Hood : So this was an interesting spin on an old story, Maid Marion and her friends were Robin Hood and his Merry Men. All of the merry ladies had to be able to change into the Merry Men onstage. Start out with a t-tunic, add a belt collar and hat, and presto!

The Taming of The Shrew : Talk about protean costuming! This show was an awesome challenge, we had to be able to change costumes (and sexes!)on stage seamlessly. The one guideline my Director Katie Brown gave me was that Kate and Bianca Had to look like they were wearing a skirt (challenge: we both also play men!) So with the idea of a panel of fabric equaling a skirt, I brainstormed every other combination I could make with a panel, and viola! I made capes, and robes, and aprons. This show in all of its simplicity is one of my proudest accomplishments.

Ferdinand The Bull : This was an interesting challenge,
katie never wanted animal costumes onstage, ever. I was amazed at how many kids knew what was what right off the bat. yeah for the power of a childs imagination. For all you big people out there, hint, the pig is in pink, the bull is in brown, the rest of us are human. oh, and i'm a man again. Duque Dodo!

Ramona Quimby : This is the first show I designed for the Barter Players. Everything was pulled or bought. Yeah for having tons of seventies clothes in stock! For this show it was important for things to be familiar and comfortable.

Lysistrata : This show was the first show I had ever draped, and it was an amazing experience. To be able to dream up draw and create exactly what was in my imagination without any patterns or restrictions was amazing. All of the womens clothing in this gallery I personally draped and stitched, one of my proudest accomplishments. Each of the womens dresses took aproximately four days to make. I Hope you enjoy!
